EEMG takes part in NEON Event : How to protect New Consumers?

Last 21th of March EEMG participated in the panel discussion "Ombudsmen and ADR for energy prosumers and active consumers" held in Brussels.

Speakers of the first session discussed the role od ADR and opportunity and challenges for active consumers: Who are the players? How to balance opportunities and risks? What is their level of responsibility?

The second session focused the new provisions for vulnerable consumers: how can we get them engaged? How can we make the market fairer?

Participants agreed that 1) Fair access to redress for energy consumers is essential for the engagement of all consumers, prosumers and vulnerable consumers alike and 2) ADR bodies looking after the energy sector can take on the role of positively improving the consumer experience and help change to happen.
