2023 annual meeting of European mediators in the energy sector
The EEMG Annual Meeting was held in Paris on 5 and 6 October 2023. The change of presidency of the EEMG, important issues related to the energy crisis of 2022 and the ongoing project to revise the European ADR Directive were the main topics discussed this year.
ADR in consumer energy disputes meeting - October 19,2022, Brussels
During a meeting organized by DC Justice and DC Energy, Benedicte Gendry, President of EEMG, had the opportunity to share recent experiences as mediator in the energy crisis context. She also shared EEMG position regarding a possible revision of the ADR Directive.
The European Commission launched a Public Consultation to collect views from the general public on how ADR is implemented in their country

Since the transposition of the ADR Directive in May 2013, Europe has been keen to regularly bring together all the players in alternative dispute resolution methods. Plenary meetings take place once or twice a year. The last "ADR Forum" took place via interactive videoconference on September 28 and 29. More than 120 participants followed these two days, with a lot of interesting debates. Several members of the EEMG (European Energy Mediators Group), participated in the round tables and intervened in the debates.
Legal watch – energy precarity July 2021
La loi du 12 juillet 2010 portant engagement national pour l’environnement, dite loi Grenelle 2, donne la définition légale de la précarité énergétique suivante « est en situation de précarité énergétique une personne qui éprouve dans son logement des difficultés particulières à disposer de la fourniture d’énergie nécessaire à la satisfaction de ses besoins élémentaires en raison de l’inadaptation de ses ressources ou conditions d’habitat ».

On November 5, as EEMG President, Benedicte GENDRY spoke at the CEER (Council of European Energy Mediators Group) annual conference whose subject was ‘the consumer at the heart of the Clean Energy Package”.
The Citizen Energy Forum 2019
The EEMG participated this year again to the 11th Citizens’ Energy Forum which took place in Dublin on Thursday, September 12, and Friday, September 13. Just after the presentation of the list of the new European commissioners by Ursula von der Leyen, the new president of the European Commission there was a lot to expect. This year welcomed the Youth representatives from Europe to join the discussions. It was the first time the forum gave voices to the youth generation and it added some arguments in the debates.

The members of European Energy Mediators Group held a meeting in Lisbon on October 7th and 8th.
Alliance of History and Future : EEMG participated to the last CEER Customer conference on Digitalization on November 29th, 2018
This conference took place at the Museum of Natural Sciences in Brussels and the topic was Digitalization : opportunities and how to avoid risks for consumers.
